Foodman Leaders Speak with FIU Students on BSA/AML Compliance

Stanley Foodman, CEO of Foodman CPAs & Advisors, and Daniel Gutiérrez, Director of Domestic & International Financial Services, recently spoke with students at Florida International University about Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance.
For many students, BSA/AML is a topic that lives mostly in textbooks. The session focused on bringing it into practice through real-world scenarios, showing how the framework becomes less about rules on paper and more about judgment, context, and consequence. That shift was reflected in the students' questions, which moved quickly from definitions to how compliance decisions are actually made.
